Welcome to District AV. These Terms of Service explain the general terms that apply when using our website or working with District AV for residential technology design, installation, service, or support. By using this website or approving a District AV proposal, you agree to the terms outlined below.
District-AV, LLC provides residential technology design and integration services, including audio/video systems, networking, Wi-Fi, lighting control, motorized shades, surveillance, access control, and related smart home technology services.
The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. While we do our best to keep the website accurate and up to date, the content on this site should not be treated as a final quote, guaranteed price, final scope of work, or binding agreement.
All project pricing, equipment selections, timelines, and responsibilities are governed by the approved proposal, agreement, or written scope provided by District AV.
District AV will provide the products and services listed in the approved proposal. Only the items specifically listed in the proposal are included.
Any additional work, upgrades, changes, troubleshooting, equipment, wiring, programming, or services not listed in the approved proposal may be billed separately.
Quotes and proposals are based on the information available at the time they are prepared. Final pricing may change if the project scope changes, site conditions are different than expected, product availability changes, or additional work is requested.
Approval of a District AV proposal confirms acceptance of the scope, pricing, payment terms, and applicable terms and conditions included with that proposal.
District AV allows flexible change orders during a project. Client-requested changes must be approved in writing. Email approval is acceptable.
Equipment-related changes may require payment before products are ordered.
Labor and service are billed according to the rates listed in the approved proposal or service agreement. Labor may include installation, programming, service calls, project management, troubleshooting, and after-hours support.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, billable labor may be charged in 15-minute increments.
District AV’s normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requests received outside of normal business hours will generally be reviewed the next business day. Emergency or after-hours service, when available, may be billed at a higher rate.
District AV may agree to install or integrate customer-provided equipment. However, District AV does not guarantee the performance, compatibility, warranty, or reliability of equipment that was not supplied by District AV.
Troubleshooting or additional work related to customer-provided equipment may be billed at standard service rates.
District AV is not responsible for the condition, performance, or reliability of existing wiring, equipment, network infrastructure, or site conditions that were not installed or provided by District AV.
If existing wiring or equipment needs to be repaired, replaced, tested, or modified for the project to function properly, that work may be billed separately.
System performance may depend on internet service providers, streaming services, software platforms, manufacturer updates, apps, Wi-Fi conditions, home construction, and other third-party systems.
District AV is not responsible for outages, delays, performance issues, or failures caused by internet providers, third-party services, manufacturer changes, software updates, or conditions outside of our control.
Payment terms are listed in the approved proposal or invoice. Equipment and materials remain the property of District AV until full payment is received.
District AV reserves the right to pause work, withhold product delivery, or delay final programming or support if payments are not made according to the agreed terms.
District AV is not an insurer. To the fullest extent allowed by law, District AV’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the applicable project or service.
District AV is not responsible for property loss, personal injury, system downtime, lost data, lost revenue, or damages caused by third-party failures, misuse, environmental conditions, acts of nature, or systems outside of District AV’s control.
All website content, including text, images, graphics, logos, layouts, and design elements, is owned by District AV or used with permission. Website content may not be copied, reused, or modified without written permission.
District AV may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
