District-AV was contracted to design and install a comprehensive whole-home audio and visual system for a newly constructed 11,600 square foot single-family residence. The homeowners — a family of four with a passion for music and film — wanted broadcast-quality sound and picture in every room of the home, unified under a single, intuitive control interface.
Working from the pre-wire phase, our team roughed in all structured wiring before walls were closed, ensuring a completely concealed, professional installation. Eleven displays ranging from 55″ to 85″ were installed across all living spaces, bedrooms, and outdoor areas, each fed by a centralized video distribution matrix housed in the home’s dedicated AV rack.
Five independent audio zones allow any family member to play different music in different rooms simultaneously, or sync the whole home for parties. Sources include Apple TV 4K, Sonos, and satellite radio — all selectable from the Control4 app or any in-wall keypad.
Scope of work included:
- 11 displays: 4x Samsung 85″ QLED (great room, primary suite, kitchen, loft), 5x LG 65″ OLED (secondary bedrooms + office), 2x SunBrite 55″ outdoor
- 5-zone distributed audio: Great Room, Kitchen/Dining, Primary Suite, Upstairs Loft, Outdoor Patio
- Centralized AV rack with Araknis 16×16 HDMI matrix for full source flexibility
- In-wall Triad One amplifiers per zone for clean, high-fidelity audio
- Sonance in-ceiling speakers in all interior zones — painted to match, virtually invisible
- Apple TV 4K at every display location, managed centrally via Control4
- Custom Control4 UI designed per room with one-touch source selection and volume scenes
