This project centered on transforming a sprawling outdoor estate — including a resort-style pool, covered lanai, fire pit lounge, and putting green — into a fully integrated outdoor entertainment environment. The homeowners, an active family who regularly hosts large gatherings, wanted immersive audio and video coverage across every outdoor zone with the simplicity of a single app.
District-AV designed a six-zone landscape audio system using Sonance garden speakers and in-ground subwoofers, creating rich, immersive sound that fills the outdoor space without the visual intrusion of traditional outdoor speakers. Three SunBrite weatherproof displays were installed at the lanai bar, the pool pavilion, and the covered outdoor kitchen.
All outdoor systems tie directly into the home’s Control4 ecosystem, meaning the family manages outdoor audio, video, lighting, and the pool equipment controller from one interface.
Scope of work included:
- 6-zone Sonance landscape audio with 4 in-ground subwoofers for full-range outdoor sound
- 3x SunBrite Veranda Series 65″ outdoor displays at lanai bar, pool pavilion, and outdoor kitchen
- Weatherproof HDMI distribution allowing any source (Apple TV, cable, game console) to any outdoor display
- Outdoor volume keypads at each zone for independent guest control without needing the app
- Araknis outdoor Wi-Fi 6 access points for full-property wireless coverage
- Integration with Pentair pool controller through Control4 — water features, spa jets, and pool lighting on one interface
- Low-voltage LED landscape lighting scenes integrated with Control4 for sunset automation and party modes
